WebJun 23, 2024 · So burner OR electric mining use the same amount of energy per unit extraction.According to Factorio's wiki: burner mining drill 150kw with mining speed 0.25 electric mining drill 90kw with mining speed 0.5 So not only 30% less used energy but also doubled output and therefor just 35% of energy per mined unit.

WebOct 3, 2024 · I believe the number is correct but the conclusion is wrong, 1 mine able to power 1.1667 boilers, i set up 1 boiler, 2 steam engines powering 21 electric mining drill and 1 of the drill direct output coal into the boiler, the rest output to chest, constantly over draining power from the setup, the coal in the boiler still increasing. WebYou're ratio's are off. For example, an iron gear takes 0.5 seconds to make. A red science takes 5 seconds, so a single iron gear assembler can feed 10 red science assemblers. Getting your ratio's perfect isn't necessary, but it might save you a little time and space and prevent unnecessary over-building.
